The Bad Splice is no longer going to be a movie review only blog. In fact, there may not be movie reviews at all. I’ve decided I don’t really like writing them. So I guess this will be a more ordinary, self-centered blog. Starting with the post below…

I know, right? I went to see The Incredible Hulk with my girlfriend’s dad the other evening, and afterward we were sitting around chatting about that movie and other movies, and I was basically giving a dissertation about comic books and comic book movies. He says “You should be a movie critic! You’d be good at it.” And I says “I don’t want to criticize, I want to create. Besides, writing movie reviews is pretty damn tedious.”
So I get it. Bring on the self-centeredness.

(Side note to JB: I think that good criticism IS creating. I know what you mean, but there’s been some really outstanding criticism in the world and it would only be possible by creative people. I’m just saying.)
